Our commitment
We are committed to trying new ideas and constantly seeking to improve what education is. We have the unique opportunity to do things differently at Elsie MacGill SS. Our major areas of focus are:
1) Culturally Responsive and Relevant Pedagogy
2) Integrative Thinking and Design Thinking
3) Interdisciplinary and Project-Based Learning
These ideas link together and drive our professional learning and our work with students. We want our classrooms to be places where students deeply dive into projects that they feel a strong connection to. We aim to explore topics and ideas that link between courses and build a strong set of skills in our students that will set them up for success now and in the future.

What Is Our Vision And Our Value Statements?
Our school vision is what we keep coming back to as we look at bringing in new initiatives, ideas, and activities.
Our school vision is a simple and clear description of where we want to go as a school community, we need to make decisions as individuals, collectively in classes, and as an entire school to get there. These decisions should be based on our values - what we collectively believe is important for our success and well-being. Our values will keep us on track towards our goals.
