EMAIL: 1adetunjiire@hdsb.ca
My name is Ire Adetunji, I'm in grade 9 and I will be one of your Student Senators for this year. A little bit about me is that I have two siblings, I enjoy doing CrossFit, and I listen to music to pass time. I'm extremely honoured to be in this position to make a huge difference in our school board. I strive to put myself in new situations hoping to make change and develop new skills. I believe that everyone should feel safe and welcome no matter who they are.

Some things about me, I enjoy sports, playing some video games, as well as school. I enjoy school, and I would like to make changes wherever possible. Everyone's voice deserves to be heard in my eyes, no matter what you identify as, your race, or what you believe in. We all deserve a chance.
What is the Student Senate?
We're a group of passionate leaders from public schools across the Halton District School Board. We meet once a month to provide the student perspective on board issues and to voice the questions and concerns of Halton students. The Student Trustees relay these perspectives to the Board of Trustees to ensure that students are being represented. Each year, we also organize and run the Halton Youth Leadership Symposium, a conference for Halton students.
